Chianti Bus

There are a few companies, two of which are LFI and TRA-IN, who offer bus services that link the towns in Chianti such as Florence, Siena, Cortona, Arezzo, Montepulicano and San Gimignano.

Chianti Taxi

Taxis are available in most of the towns, apart from those in which traffic is forbidden in the centre such as San Gimignano and Cortona.

Chianti Train

The Train is a fast and easy way to get around Chianti although for the smaller towns, you may need to also take a short bus ride as some don’t have a direct train station.

Tickets must be validated before entering the train by one of the yellow boxes at the entrance to each platform. This is very important as, if not done, it could result in a fine.

Florence and Pisa Airport

Chianti is served by two airports, Florence airport Amerigo and Pisa airport Galileo Galilei.

Florence airport Amerigo Vespucci caters for domestic and some European flights while Pisa Airport Galileo Galilei caters for international, domestic and European flights.
